Every Friday, the CityVero editorial team reviews submitted events, community announcements, farm opening dates, and seasonal activities across all 8 Central NJ towns. The picks that make this list are the ones we would actually tell our neighbors about—not every event that was submitted, but the ones worth your time.
The list is organized by age-friendliness and by how far you need to drive. Everything within Manalapan appears first; the 15-to-30-minute drives appear second.
Where to look beyond this list
Manalapan Township website (manalapan.org): The events calendar is updated by township staff and is the authoritative source for municipal events, road closures, and recreation program schedules.
Monmouth County Park System: The park system runs events year-round at Thompson Park, Holmdel Park, and others. Their calendar at monmouthcountyparks.com is detailed and reliable. Astronomy nights, nature walks, and family programs are often free.

Seasonal markers worth knowing
